Most institutional projects are classified as critical use structures by the International Building Code (IBC). Whether the project is a school, hospital, prison or police/fire station, the proposed structures need to protect their inhabitants during and to remain functional immediately after an earthquake.

Seismic Solutions has installed Earthquake Drains on more than one hundred institutional projects to mitigate liquefaction and minimize seismic settlements. The savings for taxpayers realized through using Earthquake Drains has been so substantial that Seismic Solutions became the sole-source liquefaction mitigation experts for the Charleston County School District over the last fifteen years. More than twenty new schools and existing school renovations have been protected using our Earthquake Drain systems.
